Q1: IC Master Shop has around 13 years of history. Compared with other similar electronic trading company, what do you think are the merits of IC Master Shop?

A: IC Master Shop mainly provides the retailing of electronic components, control components, equipment, flash memory card and the like. Besides having agentship and retailing licenses on current brand, IC Master Shop has more than 30,000 types of product sales, including electronic components, equipment, control components, and computer peripherals. Our clients include Hong Kong Governmental Department, tertiary institutions and public organizations.

Comparatively, other electronic trading companies just focus on one product or only their own brand in general, so you can see why clients from electronic components or computer industry choose the omnibearing services provided by IC Master Shop.
 

Q2: Why e-Bay?

A: In Hong Kong, IC Master has already established for 13 years and its reputation ha
s been well developed. In past few years, we found that our products are welcome and popular in oversea market. Now, we believe, it is the right timing to explore potential markets outside Hong Kong. Operating the online shop in e-Bay is our prefer channel in which allow us to access the worldwide consumers.

We believe that specialization is vital to maintain the professional standard and therefore Flash Memory Card is the only item available in our online shop. A Power Limited, being a subsidiary of Mobicon Group Limited (Listed in HKSE, 1213), is the supplier who offers the flash memory card for sell . A Power Limited is one of the biggest wholesaler of computer accessory in Hong Kong market. They have developed extensive dealer network (700 dealers) throughout Hong Kong. A laser logo [A Power Logo] is stuck on every Flash Memory Card retail packs for identity and avoid against the fake and pirated products on the market.

Hong Kong Custom and Excise Department has paid great efforts in resisting pirated products and they have applied strict regulation on this issue. As a subsidiary of a listed company in Hong Kong, A Power Limited strongly supports in combating against the pirated goods. We are supposed to develop and maintain the long term business relationship among the partners and strengthen the competitive edge of our business environment. Q3: How did the market respond to the 'Megasales of Computer and Equipment' that was recently open? What other strategies has the company developed to attract a wider variety of clients?

A: The 'Megasales of Computer and Equipment' has evoked interests from clients including engineers and engineer major students. The Megasales act as a product exhibition center for handling enquiries and keeping clients updated with new products. Besides equipment, the company also has sales on computer products. The company not only allows customers to try our products first-hand in the center, but there are sales engineers on site to help customers better understand the special features and functions of the products.

Q4: IC Master Shop is an international electronic trading company. With the electronic industry in China expanding in recent years, what is the company's China business development plan? What are the advantages of having a branch in China ?

A: Because of increased cost of business operation in Guangdong province and the reduction in business expenditure in Guangxi and the PRD, many factories have moved further away to the Northern part of China . The business model of IC Master Shop well matches the development plan with point of sales to be developed in new markets such as Shenzhen, Dongshan and Beijing . With the difficulties encountered by our clients in China in purchasing overseas products, the headquarters in Hong Kong act as a trading hub to provide the products from global distributors that are required by our clients in China . Furthermore, the sales office in China also exports high quality products into Hong Kong to service local clients.

 

Q5 : How does IC Master Shop uphold Mobicon's brand image? Do you have any brand promotion strategy?

A: Mobicon is a service branding. What is the most important for the company is its ability to provide an omnibearing, one-stop service to its clients. IC Master Shop has spent a lot of time and manpower on maintaining the brand image of Mobicon. Each year, the company publishes its own designed Mobicon Product Catalogue, which was initially 60 black and white pages, but is now consisting of over 200 full-colored pages. Adjacent to each product is its own unique product code that helps facilitate product purchase by clients.

The company also mass-produces product catalogues each year to distribute them to Hong Kong , China and overseas branches as well as different exhibition held in Hong Kong each year. Besides publishing hardcopies of the catalogues, CD versions of them were also manufactured to bring convenience to our clients and to increase reputation of the company.

 
Q6: Being the person-in-charge of IC Master Shop, how can you assist the company to attain the mission of providing localized services to clients with well acquired Asian knowledge? What are your expectations for the company?

A: Each place has its own sales uniqueness and quality products. I think the company's mission is to bring in quality products from various places through direct contact with manufacturers. From my understanding, the mission is to take advantage of Asia 's natural world, manpower and dynamic economy to provide localized service to our clients. Clients include educational institutions, governmental organizations, sales engineer as well as exhibitors and participants of the exhibitions held each year.

Up till now, Mobicon has its business developed mainly in the Asia region. Therefore, I hope the company can go international in the near future, having branches in major markets worldwide as well as pushing the company to a more mature development process.
